Community Action Program Belknap-Merrimack Counties (CAPBM) - Head Start is seeking a dedicated early childhood education Lead Teacher to provide a quality program for preschool aged-children in an early childhood education setting. This individual would be responsible for planning and implementing a curriculum based on the Head Start framework that supports overall child development. The Lead Teacher is responsible for leading and managing a classroom while collaborating with other teachers and staff to support each individual child’s needs.

The Lead Teacher is responsible for the following:

• Providing all aspects of a quality child development program with an emphasis on social and cognitive development and School Readiness.
• Developing and implementing a curriculum that is consistent with Early Childhood Education practices, Head Start Performance Standards, and NH State Child Care Licensing Regulations.
• Responsible for involving parents in the education of their children.

Lead Teachers – Pay rate: $20.00 to $22.00+/hr - Pay will depend on degree and years of experience

Hours: The Lead Teacher position in Concord is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday - Year-Round

• BA in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (early childhood education coursework) required Master preferred.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit for prolonged periods of time; repetitively use hands to handle or feel including operation of a standard computer keyboard; reach with hands and arms and talk, see and hear; and lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work may at times be in the infant, toddler, or preschool classroom setting requiring the ability to reach with hands and arms and talk, see and hear, bend, reach, stoop and crawl; regular lifting of children up to 40 pounds.
