LIBRARY DELIVERY DRIVER – The Central Arkansas Library System seeks a full-time library delivery driver (40 hrs/wk). The library delivery driver is responsible for the safe delivery of books and other materials to all the branches/departments around the system while operating a box truck. Essential duties include conducting vehicle inspection before and after trips and reporting issues to management, communicate and interact with staff at libraries for any special needs/requests, follow all traffic laws, and maintain a positive attitude with staff. Other duties include checking maintenance software to review work orders, checking email, and keeping up with fuel receipts and complete an expense report. Interested candidates must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, must be able to push, pull, lift, and squat at least 75lbs without any assistance, be able to work independently and be familiar with driving routes in CALS service areas. Candidates with box truck experience preferred. The pay range is $15.37-17.29 per hour (based on experience) and includes excellent benefits such as paid health, dental, vision, pension and life insurance along with paid time off.
