Recently opened and thriving children's hair salon (Sharkey's Cuts for Kids) in South Tampa is seeking a responsible, experienced Cosmetologist/Barber to work mornings (9am-1pm) Monday-Thursday.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with school-aged kids who wants to be home with them outside of school hours!! We'll work with your schedule for school holidays as well.

**Open to full time, expanding hours beyond this time frame, if interested.**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work independently
• Provide an exceptional quality client experience each and every time
• Provide full salon services, including hair cutting, fades, shampooing, blow-drying, and styling
• Listen and communicate clearly with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction in the client consultation
• Form bonds with loyal customers, remembering their hairstyle preferences as well as add notes from the cut into system
• Identify any issues in the scalp and educate what retail product would be best to help the issue
• Apply OSHA standards and State Board Regulations across all beauty stations and maintains of salon
• Ensure clients with scheduled appointments receive service in a timely manner
• Operating the Point-of-Sale software system (Salon Ultimate)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere
• Ability AND DESIRE to work with kids

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current FL Cosmetology or Barbering license
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Up-to-date with industry trends
• Ability to work weekends a plus
