Job description

Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Functions within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse. Applies the nursing process to maximize the health status of the patients within the parameters of hospital policy and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct and indirect patient care. Provides care that meets the individual psychosocial and physical needs of patients and family served. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and patient care policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with RN / charge nurse any changes in patient’s clinical condition. Understands and supports MMC Mission, Vision and Values, the principles and activities of True North, and organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Manages medications/ blood products consistent with institutional policy.
• Documentation in the medical records is complete and accurate.
• Adheres to principles and practices of infection control.
• Is responsible for professional practice.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients/families and staff.

Shift Time: 8- hour shifts
