Job description
The LIMS Admin is responsible for configuring and maintaining LIMS master data and templates used throughout the LabVantage LIMS. The LIMS Admin will work with internal SMEs to develop Master Data such as parameters, parameter lists, test methods, AQC batch, products, specifications, sample plans based on analytical test method procedures, production batch records and product specifications. The LIMS Admin will provide also provide user support and training as well as provide support for system enhancements by processing change controls, gathering requirements, and writing/executing test scripts.
The LIMS Administrator must:
- Be a good communicator that can provide information that is valuable to the intended audience
- Be able to translate business documents into LIMS configurations
Position Responsibilities:
- Configure LIMS/ELN test methods and templates
- Configure product specifications
- LIMS/ELN Administration
- Maintaining LIMS/ELN systems, procedures and processes
- LIMS/ELN Master data configuration
- LIMS/ELN End User training
- LIMS/ELN support
- Working with LIMS/ELN developers on new functionality
- Train and support end users
- Apply Continuous improvement methodologies to streamline LIMS/ELN support
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Life Science, a related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years of LIMS related work.
- System Administration, deployment, and support of LIMS and/or ELN.
- Working knowledge of LIMS, ELN, LES Master Data configuration in LabVantage as it relates to lab diagnostics and other functionality.
- Experience implementing instrument interfaces to simple instruments or file-based instruments is desired.
- Experience using/creating Jasper reports or creating custom SQL queries.
- Experience supporting regulated environments (GLP) is required including Software Development Life Cycle deliverables, testing, and change control.
