We are looking for experienced and passionate cooks to join our team. We are located inside the Sheraton Madison Hotel.

You will have the opportunity to work with Industry Professionals who can guide you into learning the in and outs of working in a hotel kitchen. From basic fundamental scratch cookery, food presentation, proper food handling techniques, quality and quantity control, banquet and catering events. This position is perfect for a true culinarian looking to gain proper knowledge to further there culinary career.

Job Responsibilities:.

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• Rotating of product using the FIFO method to ensure quality of food is at its highest standard
• Maintaining a positive attitude and outgoing personality.
• Great team work and attention to detail
• Previous cooking experience is recommended ( 2 years minimum)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
