The WingIT Line Cook helps prepare meals as per standard recipes and will be responsible for creating meal portions, cooking meals, and keeping a sanitized work area. The Line Cook is committed to impeccable food preparation which is important to our customers and vital to creating repeat business. The Line Cook is a team player, willing to work with others to get the job done.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Line Cook include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare meals using standard recipes.
• Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and basic meal preparation procedures used in the kitchen.
• Ensure that the kitchen, all food preparation and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Work with a team to do prep work for other shifts when needed.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
• Consistently follow kitchen procedures and policies.
• Follow closing checklist and/or assist others in closing the kitchen.
• Attend scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Education and Training Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, if applicable
• Possess current Food Handler certificate

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $11.00 - $13.00/hour.
