Job description
We imagine a company where team members wake up every day inspired, feel safe and end their day fulfilled by the work they do.
We are looking for someone experienced to perform the role of LO assistant and loan processor who is motivated to close loans, take care of clients, and improve the process. Our volume is low (26 in the last 12 months), I say this because many of the loan processors that have applied close 10,20,30 per month, but they do not of the assistant tasks. I wish we were closing 20 a month, but we don't.
Location: In the Magnolia office (on FM 1488 near FM 2978) would be good, a hybrid or fully remote working from home can work for the right person.
Compensation: Base salary starts at $15 and increases as the loan volumes increases. The reason this is paying so low is our average loan closing is 2 loans a month. Due to regulations, I had to stop using 2 junior processors. Our volume is low because of the general industry, competition to our main builder, and lead generation is not my strength. So I am taking a chance on you that you can do a good job and you are taking a chance on the company that it can pay more.
Responsibilities:
· Fill the roll of LO assistant & loan processor (send out application, enter into calyx, collect payment and pull credit, organize docs, request docs, send disclosures, explain disclosures, collect payment and order appraisal, open title, submit to underwriting, compliance, schedule closing)
· Close loans from application to funding
· Understand and follow state and federal regulations, mortgage lending and underwriting guidelines, and RESPA requirements while verifying loan applications from prospective home buyers, creating loan files, and processing loan closings
· Remedy, resolve or escalate customer service issues in a professional way.
· Build a positive work environment through helpful relationships with clients, underwriters, title, builders, realtors
Qualifications:
· Expert loan processing skills.
· Working knowledge of the mortgage industry, loan products and programs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, FHA)
· Great organization, interpersonal, and time management skills
· Lots of communication to builders, realtors & clients.
· items below are a plus
· Able to calculate income of all types of borrowers
· Familiar with credit reports and how to run “what if” simulation for higher scores
· Able to run DU/LP and solve DU/LP problems
· Experienced with MS Office
