Reporting directly to the VP - Pricing/Financial Planning & Analysis, the Logistics Data analyst will provide analytical and decision support to senior financial and executive operational management by developing, interpreting, and implementing concepts for financial planning, analysis and control. This will be a highly visible role, and the successful candidate will provide analytical support for major business decisions. A preferred candidate will have a “bigger picture” view of the business as a whole, with a strong understanding of operations, and the ability to communicate effectively between all levels of the company. The candidate will have a strong sense of urgency to accomplish tasks, and be able to successfully support their recommendations for review, and push projects to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Support weekly/monthly RFI/RFP’s to provide data for customer analysis
• Build analytical models to communicate and identify pricing opportunities to executive and upper management
• Communicate status of current operational metrics by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data to all levels of management
• Provide insights into the organization’s asset usage, including expense per asset, trends, variance analysis, and total asset cost
• Perform ad hoc analysis and build data models to support management business decisions
• Develop and oversee new processes to improve operational efficiencies that impact company profitability
• Recommends operational actions to align with organization goals
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing projects on time and efficiently

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Finance, Business Administration, or Logistics
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in finance and/or logistics
• Thorough understanding of Budgeting processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (VBA knowledge a plus)
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and communication
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret data and provide strategic analysis to highest levels of management
• Willingness to travel to specified building locations located within the east coast when appropriate (10%)
• Local candidates preferred
