Job Title: Logistics & Supply Chain Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

Manages all aspects of the division’s supply chain management and logistics, including procurement, vendor relations, production, logistics, and distribution. Oversees demand forecasting, supply planning, and procurement to ensure resource requirements are satisfied. Must be able to interact with customers to determine demand and negotiate delivery schedules. Communicates with executives regarding business needs to secure resources needed to satisfy customer demands and ensure delivery and/or implementation. Implements, maintains and ensures conformance to purchasing, material control, shipping and receiving functions in accordance with company policy and procedures.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

  • College degree and/or five years related experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in the use of excel or similar programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for overall strategy and execution of supply chain management function as well as planning activities and operations of the business.
  • Coordinates, revises and implements customer purchase orders add releases into the production schedule.
  • Maintains daily work-in-process status and balance reporting.
  • Maintains daily EDI/MIS systems to ensure correct and up-to-date information.
  • Develops and distributes daily die cast machine loading schedule.
  • Provides schedules to all outside vendors that perform operations to production parts. Ensures on time delivery from these vendors.
  • Directs and audits physical inventories as called for by CDCG and is responsible for it’s accuracy.
  • Maintains and assures conformance of purchasing procedures.
  • Compiles shipping schedules and coordinates logistics for movement of material.
  • Supervises Shipping Clerks and Driver.
  • Handles day to day customer service for production parts. (non-pilots/prototypes)
  • Maintains historical information that pertains to the above.
  • Such other duties as are assigned from time-to-time.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • Ensure on time delivery to customers with a goal of 100%.
  • Maintains proper work-in-process and finished goods inventory levels as mandated by the General Manager.
  • Communicates any potential or actual customer or vendor problems to the General Manager.

Experience:

  • Automotive Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Die Cast or Foundry: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: 3 years (Preferred)
