NutriScience Innovations (NSI) is looking for a high-energy and dedicated individual to join our logistics team! In this role the Logistics Associate will work with our Logistics Manager and team to: (a) assist in coordinating inbound/outbound transportation of our dietary supplement and nutraceutical products, (b) process customer purchase orders, (c) provide excellent customer service to our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Input sales orders using our ERP system in accordance with customer purchase orders
• Prepare necessary and accurate documentation for inbound/outbound shipments to and from our on-site warehouse as well as our 3rd party warehouses across the country
• Coordinate with transportation carriers and freight brokers to ensure appropriate and timely deliveries of customers’ orders
• File claims with carriers for damages occurring during transit
• Coordinate imports and exports, understanding the international rules, regulations, and documentation requirements that govern shipments of dietary products
• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers to mitigate potential logistical and supply issues
• The Logistics Associate is expected to exemplify excellent customer service when communicating with our customers, an attribute that NSI takes great pride in. This may include order confirmations, order status updates, communicating lead time issues, and providing tracking information
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by other departments or upper management as needed

Job Requirements:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, this is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in a career in Logistics/Supply Chain.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to articulate in a professional manner
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must be able to manage several projects/tasks concurrently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Positive attitude and proactive approach are a must

Preferred

• 1-2+ years’ experience in a logistics or customer service-related role (or a recent graduate with interest in this field)
• International business experience a plus
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and processes a plus
