Position Summary:

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics Manager supporting the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Directorate in the United States Space Force, which consists of the Upgraded Early Warning Radar System (UEWR). The UEWR mission is to modernize and sustain missile warning, missile defense and space domain awareness radars.

This position is located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, with a 75% telework posture.

Responsibilities:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • The paramount qualification requirement is the ability to integrate separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project lifecycles and product support planning during each phase
  • Perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program
  • Identify specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support programs
  • Correlate logistics requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place
  • Provide analytical support for key logistics metrics (supply, reliability, maintainability, reliability, etc.) and provide them to key logistics reviews
  • Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
  • Apply familiarity or experience accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) and knowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook
  • Familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes
  • Apply experience with defense acquisition management processes in accordance with the DoD 5000 series instructions
  • Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time
  • Provide expert logistics input on Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
  • Apply familiarity or experience with technical order management policies, procedures, and tools
  • Apply Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies to both hardware and software projects
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Clearance : Must have a Secret and be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Y ears’ experience: 20 years of functional experience in logistics acquisition with at least 10 years of experience in the Defense Industry OR,
    • AA/AS, 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the Defense Industry OR,
    • BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the Defense Industry
Preferred Experience:
Education: BA/BS or higher
Clearance: Top Secret
