Job description
- Manages day to day execution of production activities to ensure optimal performance in the areas of safety, quality, cost and delivery.
- Manages labor and production schedules to ensure appropriate coverage in support of attainment goals. Actively seeks opportunities to optimize cost structure in the areas of materials, scheduling, labor, etc.
- Supports and maintains a continuous improvement (CI) culture across assigned work teams; serves as a leader of change across the function.
- Develop and administers standards of work to ensure process compliance.
- Support the execution of New Production Development, capital projects and other initiatives at the production phase.
- Develop and build capability of people as individuals and teams through a variety of techniques and tools focused on motivation, teamwork, mentoring and coaching.
- Bachelors degree preferred in related field or commensurate experience
- Minimum of (5) five years experience in a in a medical product, food or nutritional product manufacturing setting. Previous experience in an FDA / USDA regulated industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing equipment, systems and tools, as well as, productivity principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement (CI) Principles, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering methods, Production Processes, Quality tools, Material flow and management, etc.
