POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Teacher for ScienceREPORTS TO: Principal, Eastland Career CenterAPPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filledSTARTING DATE: ASAPQUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must hold a valid high school teaching certificate/license in Integrated Science for grades 11 & 12RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach science to 11th and 12th grade students enrolled in career/technical programs offered at Eastland Career Center. Create lesson plans that make connections between content and real-world applications. Collaborate with instructional staff and work in a team environment. Interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations as presented in the Substitute Handbook and online district policies. SALARY: Substitute Salary Schedule - $120.00 per day and after 60 consecutive workdays, placement on the certified teacher salary schedule.TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Certified, as needed.
