Goodwill NNE is looking for an accomplished problem solver with dynamic customer service skills to join the Safety and Loss Prevention team! The Loss Prevention Specialist efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection within assigned business units. The LPS reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and is responsible for anticipating and responding to the mutual needs of the Loss Prevention Department and Agency Divisions while creating actionable plans to mitigate risk.
The Loss Prevention Specialist position has multi-facility responsibilities that require extensive travel throughout Maine and New Hampshire in an Agency vehicle.
Job Summary:
The Loss Prevention Specialist provides Loss Prevention and Security guidance for Goodwill Northern New England. This position is accountable for:
- Ensure compliance with Agency Loss Prevention programs, policies, and procedures through field reports and audits within assigned business units.
- Perform internal investigations to determine root causes, detail findings, and recommend actions to deter future loss.
- Provide Loss Prevention training to staff within the assigned business units.
- Ability to effectively manage security camera systems and troubleshoot potential problems.
- Represents the Agency in all interactions with other Goodwill community members and the general public, supporting the agency's Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.
- Partner with the leadership in assigned areas to promote process improvements and efficiencies to provide a workplace free of potential loss exposures.

Work Location: Based in Gorham, ME, with frequent travel to Goodwill locations in ME, NH, and/or VT.
Requirements:
- Three to five years of professional experience in a Loss Prevention and/or Asset Protection role, preferably across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to perform internal interviews professionally and calmly with the capacity to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- One to three years of documented investigative experience (Loss Prevention, Security, Law Enforcement)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer competency (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Burglar Alarm Systems.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Loss Prevention and Safety, Security, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industry-related certification, LPC, LPQ, PCI, or CFI is preferred.
