Position Summary:

As the M&A Manager, you will be an integral part of driving the on-going sustainable growth of the business in partnership with our business leaders. In this role you will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the development, implementation and execution of M&A strategies that drive our business.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in areas of the M&A lifecycle (e.g., commercial/ IT/ operational due diligence, merger integration)
  • Review project plans and conduct detailed research on potential M&A targets including assessment of management strength and depth, employee skill sets and credential, capabilities and solutions, client attractiveness, market dynamics and attractiveness and competitive environment
  • Develop comprehensive valuation models used to estimate cash flow and potential for profitability to develop purchase price structures that can include deferred purchase price.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance master comprehensive roadmap template or “playbook” to be applied to each merger or acquisition.
  • Create and maintain a central repository of relevant information from each M&A.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential acquisition targets - analyze and develop financial models estimating revenue growth, profitability, and impact on the organization's strategic business plans.
  • Strong program management experience - Serve as project manager, leading teams from multiple competency areas
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and attend regular M&A meetings with management to help facilitate discussion and answer questions regarding project status.
  • Monitor and manage risk opportunities, including stakeholder assessment and change management risks.
  • Prepare investment presentations for executives and the board.
  • Assist with integration of acquired companies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in financial concepts such as NPV, IRR, and WACC
  • 3+ years of advanced Excel skills

  • Strong financial modelling competency
  • Attention to detail, organized and results driven
  • Business acumen, drive and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work at a computer/keyboard.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
