Descriptive Summary

The Machine Operator is an integral part of the Guardian team. The ideal candidate has a background of operating machines. Guardian Bikes is a startup company, so the right candidate will be flexible and have a desire to build something from the ground up. They will have a desire to be a part of a team and pitch in wherever needed. The ideal candidate is committed, punctual, and has an eye for detail. We are looking for someone that is excited about the mission of Guardian Bikes, and will bring that excitement with them each day on the job.

Core Responsibilities

• Starts assembly and production machinery at the beginning of shift.
• Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
• Make sure that the workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
• Cleans equipment.
• Assembles product parts by machine operation.
• Uses hand tools to assemble product Observes and removes faulty product parts from the assembly line.
• Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
• Keeps the factory floor clean.
• Adheres to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory.
• Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
• Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.

Experience

• Demonstrates ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment.
• Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
• Is able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment. Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem- solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
• Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
• Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.
• Possesses the mechanical applitude to troubleshoot and adjust as necessary.

• Work will be carried out in a warehouse facility with a standard 40 hour work week.
• Ability to stand or walk for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to lift or carry over 50lbs.
• Ability to reach overhead, push or pull items over 50lbs.
• Ability for gross manipulation and fine manipulation.
• Some positions may require operation of motorized warehouse vehicles.
• Limited crouching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing may be required.
• Safety gear is required (including but not limited to glasses, gloves, helmets)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
