Join our team if you are looking for a new opportunity with a growing company! Carlson Print Group and Packaging Solutions has immediate openings for 2nd shift Machine Operators. Our production facility in Howard Lake is expanding with the addition of specialty packaging equipment.
Job Summary: Setup, maintain and operate packaging equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet high quality production standards.
Work four shifts per week, 3:00pm to 1:00am Monday - Thursday with the ability to work additional hours as needed. ($1.50 hr shift differential)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review job ticket and setup jobs according to specifications
- Operate machine efficiently while ensuring quality and production schedules are met
- Complete documentation, inspect quality and quantity of products
- Perform preventative maintenance duties on machines
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment and make repairs as needed.
- Provide work direction to Machine Helpers / Packagers
- Produce top quality results with strong attention to detail
- Assure standard operating procedures are followed to meet business and customer needs
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
Skills/Qualifications:
- Machine setup, adjusting and operating experience
- Experience with bindery, packaging or other finishing equipment helpful
- Mechanical Ability
- Ability to understand and follow detailed job instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Move/lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to stand and bend throughout workday with good manual dexterity
