Title: Men's Copywriter
Reports to: Associate Copy Director
What You’ll Do
- Write inclusive, conversational Madewell Men’s copy across all digital and print platforms including site, social and store.
- Work closely with the product team to write SEO-friendly product names and uber-accurate descriptions.
- Work closely with the marketing team to evolve our brand voice in the men’s category.
- Pitch in on packaging requests for both women’s and men’s brands.
- Keep tabs on what’s going on word-wise in the industry.
What You Know
- The ins and outs of SEO.
- The difference between complement and compliment.
- That typos gotta go.
What You Bring
- 2-3 years of experience as a copywriter for brands or publications (men’s fashion preferred).
- BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job (English, Journalism, Communications or Advertising preferred).
- An unapologetically nerdy love of words.
- Cool-headed multitasking.
- Curiosity about all kinds of retail experiences.
- Brainstorming sorcery.
- Hype for the latest long read, niche TikTok sound and/or good outfit spotted on the subway.
