Job Description
We are looking for friendly, dynamic, detail-oriented people who can help business owners across California support their local governments. If you join us, you will be part of a carefully trained team working to perform semiprofessional accounting work involving preparing, analyzing, and processing remittance of payments to our clients.
Our company is over 35 years old and this work has been growing fast for the past seven years. Likewise, this career offers the potential for promotion and growth within the company. This is a part-time year-round job. We are growing very fast now due to the pandemic’s impact on municipal budgets, and are looking for dedicated people who want to help make a difference.
You’ll be based in Fresno, CA with about 100 employees.
Position Responsibilities
Handling and sorting of checks and money orders- Research problems/questions from operations to provide interdepartmental support
- Process inbound mail
- Direct support to Remittance Manager
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal applicants must have the ability to: work independently in the absence of supervision; open and accurately sort mail; handle and sort physical checks, money orders, and cash; plan and organize work to meet deadlines; communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; establish, maintain and foster positive working relationships with peers in the course of work; exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity and sensitivity in response to changing priorities- Detail oriented and thorough
- High School Diploma, or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
Position Type/Expected Hours
This is a part-time position with an estimated work week of 20 hours per week.
