Maintenance Assistant
Southwoods Health is seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant to be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and JCAHO compliant facility. This position will be under the discretion/supervision of the Maintenance Construction Supervisor. Competitive salary and benefit package. Southwoods Health is seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant to be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and JCAHO compliant facility. This position will be under the discretion/supervision of the Maintenance Construction Supervisor. Competitive salary and benefit package. Responsibilities:
- Maintain HVAC system
- Replace empty medical gas cylinders, change H2O filters, drain hot water tanks, record medical gas quantities
- Maintain entrance cleanliness, empty smoking stations, exterior trash removal
- Painting rooms, halls, doors
- Maintain light bulbs throughout facility
- Sprinkler maintenance/backflows
- Knowledge of compliance with all regulatory bodies surrounding Environment of Care and facility maintenance (JCAHO, Ohio Department of Health, OSHA)
- Order, pick up and delivering supplies
- Complete work orders (moving things, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Check OR temperature, air exchange and humidity log
- Walking building/rounds
- Salt walk ways/snow removal, etc.
- On call schedule nights and weekends
- Oxygen manifold testing
- Emergency maintenance response
- Tank room liquid oxygen checks
- Respond fire system alarms, codes and help with drills
Requirements:
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Reliable vehicle
- Variable shifts
- Availability for on-call as scheduled
