Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant (Stadium Seating) to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant performs preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications to facility equipment, including seating, painting and carpentry projects at the facility to ensure continued proper operation. We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant (Stadium Seating) to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant performs preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications to facility equipment, including seating, painting and carpentry projects at the facility to ensure continued proper operation.
- Maintains seats and steps in facility for proper working order
- Performs repairs to restrooms, concessions and other facility needs
- Monitors a complete inventory of required seat repair parts and stocks items to complete duties. Notifies supervisor of parts availability or needs
- Operates facility equipment and heavy machinery for event set-up or changeovers as required
- Performs facility projects such as installing/removing parking bollards, installing or replacing signage or pictures in and around facility
- Performs and documents on computer and hard copy preventive, scheduled and demand maintenance on facility equipment
- Assists with work performed by outside contractors
- Assists other trade personnel in making various facility repairs
- Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on facility equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned pertaining to facility construction needs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have 3 years’ experience in maintenance repair and troubleshooting
- Bilingual preferred
- Must have basic mechanic and power tools experience needed to perform repairs on fixed seating
- Must have basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems installation
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
- Ability to properly complete multitask job assignments in allocated time frames with minimal supervision

Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms use hands to handle, or feel, stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, walk and sit
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while twisting and/or turning working at heights and frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Able to work at heights above 50 feet and in confined spaces
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
- Must be able to work in exposed wet and/or humid conditions
- Required to work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
- On occasion may be required to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
