SUMMARY: Leads the facility maintenance function by providing technical support and operational guidance to both management & personnel. The role will lead deliverables such as, but not limited to, vendor negotiation and collaboration, project and budget management, preventative maintenance program development and management, and ensuring technical operation of the site by providing direction for 3 shifts and developing and communicating priorities.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manages maintenance department safety and housekeeping tasks
  • Participates in customer quality improvements
  • Manages relationship with the landlord and facilitates building upkeep within lease parameters
  • Facilitates upkeep of facility interior and exterior to promote a positive environment for employees and visitors
  • Manages DC housekeeping tasks and holds team accountable for a clean, safe environment
  • Owns PM process and ensures that all are performed to network standards for both internal and external work.
  • Manages the contractual relationship with the DC guard service as well as the scheduling of onsite guards.
  • Point of contact for debris management at DC
  • Own responsibility for site security systems (Camera system, badge access systems, etc.)
  • Participate in site security audits with Corporate Security.
  • Own responsibility for Fixed-Asset Register, communicate with accounting and finance, & be heavily involved with Fixed-Asset Audits.
  • Manage, coach, and develop facility team.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, daily work schedules, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance for conveyor, building, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Assist with managing 3rd party building, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical contractors conducting service, repair, and new contract work


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma required; minimum of 2 - 3 years of people and warehouse leadership experience, college degree preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
  • Knowledgeable of PLCs, conveyors, & high-voltage electricity.
  • Strong computer, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and a change agent with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to wear protective eyewear, footwear, hand protection (gloves), and safety vests
