Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic / Technician is responsible for all maintenance and repairs on production equipment and areas within the VIRTEX WI facility.

Responsibilities:

· Repair and maintain production equipment in order to meet the production schedule.

· Ensure proper and efficient operation of the building – including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, chemical handling and other support systems.

· Work with Engineers to develop preventive maintenance schedules in all major areas.

· Purchase supplies/parts for equipment, as needed.

· Communicate and contract with suppliers and service companies for activities which cannot be done in-house.

· Keep accurate records of maintenance procedures, manuals, contracts, sources, work orders and other related documentation.

· Control issuance of keys and maintain key locker.

· Maintain logs for maintenance of equipment and building support systems.

· Organize and operate the maintenance department.

· Help out in general maintenance and pick up supplies from vendors when necessary.

· Snow removal for all exterior sidewalks, doors and receiving dock areas if contracted snow removal company is not available.

· Perform other duties, as needed.
