Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the Maintenance department that services all equipment and buildings at the Pineville Extrusion facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and coordinate maintenance-related activities directed at continuous improvement. These activities will be conducted while ensuring maximum safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve overall plant goals.

Principal Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of the maintenance department to ensure equipment is maintained at a level to optimize efficiency and quality while meeting budget.
• Procure and inventory MRO parts and services to maintain production and supporting equipment while meeting budgets and just-in-time inventories.
• Implement and maintain a system for record-keeping and identifying requirements for preventive and conditional maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance repair items, parts, and inventories are readily available so equipment can be repaired promptly.
• Ensures critical spare equipment is maintained for use in manufacturing.
• Plans and develops critical spare parts inventory for equipment.
• Ensures Preventive Maintenance schedules are planned and adhered to according to the schedule.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to fill open positions in the department.
• Implements 5S improvements in the Maintenance area.
• Follow EH&S/ISMS procedures as related to MSDS sheets, procurement, and contractor management.
• Maintain designated fire safe area, compressed gas storage, and issue Hot Work Permits in compliance with EH&S/ISMS Elements 17.0. Review completed Hot Work Permits for accuracy, and submits them to the Management System Coordinator for filing.
• Responsible for the hiring and placement of contractors in compliance with EH&S/ISMS
• Element 36.0 Contractor/Third Party Management.
• Ensures IPEX is getting the complete goods and services required from contractors.

Qualifications & Experience

• College/University diploma in a Technical field or equivalent experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• A proven track record in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment with ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of blending, injection molding, and extrusion equipment is an asset.
• Excellent leadership/management, written & verbal communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong working knowledge of computers using word processing, spreadsheets, and outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
