Under the direction of a Supervisor or Group Leader, this role is responsible for carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting of major and minor issues in all areas of the facility related to all equipment, processes, or systems. This role performs overhaul, retrofit, modifications, and design activities on all assigned equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of automated equipment throughout the facility including Pallet wrappers, Shanklin machines, Heat tunnels, Dorner Sortation, and Conveyors
- Support the installation of new equipment including computer cables, electric, water, and air handling equipment
- Ensure that work performed is of an acceptable quality and meets company standards
- Prepare and maintain all required logs, records, and reports
- Instruct and train new employees when/where applicable
- Notify all concerned personnel of any safety hazards connected with work being performed
- Comply with Supervisor's or Group Leader's instructions during periods of downtime and emergencies
- Maintain good housekeeping and a safe and orderly work environment at all times
- Train subordinates
- Relieve other personnel for breaks and lunch as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Required Skills
The maintenance technician should be able to:
- Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all industrial equipment including automated conveyor systems and controls, sortation machines and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all site specific MHE, which includes but not limited to belt/pulley systems and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
- Respond to equipment break down or emergencies with urgency and expediency.
- Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.
- Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform all additional duties as required.
Required Education
- High School diploma or GED required
Required Years of Experience
1 year of relevant experience required, ideally with:
- Industrial machinery/conveyor repairs
- Basic PLC’s troubleshooting
- 110VAC to 480VAC 3-phase
Additional Information
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, push, pull, squat, and stand on a regular basis throughout the workday (through an entire shift)
Schedule - M-F 7am-3:30pm.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
