Summary

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for keeping all facilities operating and repairing any issues upon discovery. They will oversee the general upkeep of all building and its infrastructures by performing routine and non-routine maintenance which include plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and grounds keeping, roadways, structures, automotive, and irrigation
• Uses experience to identify, anticipate, and prevent problems of the facility and its infrastructures
• Checks equipment for proper operating condition and completes all necessary related documentation
• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
• Works with the Department to plan repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician such as repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities
• Provide customer service and professionalism to all internal and external customers including company personnel, customers, and vendors
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of on-the-job training
• Previous experience in Maintenance or Landscaping/Grounds Keeping
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid license

• Good written and verbal communication skills and listening skills
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and blueprints
• Strong interpersonal and relational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with personnel, customers, and vendors
• Ability to perform around hazardous situations such as moving heavy equipment, in and around equipment, at heights, on steep grades, and on ladders and uneven surfaces

Additional Notes

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time and carrying at least 20 yards
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
