Based in San Mateo, California/ Singapore, this role will be reporting to a senior role in the monetization organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and build partnerships with ad demand partners - RTB enabled supply-side platforms (SSPs), ad networks, demand-side platforms (DSPs), etc. to sell through video and display inventory

Be responsible for investigating insights and analysis, technical adjustments, strategic optimization and surfacing opportunities to maximize yield for ad revenue

Work closely with our existing programmatic demand partners to manage the ongoing business and trading relationships and ensure that the full potential of each partnership is achieved. Identify performing demand partners, foster beneficial relations, and negotiate favorable terms through strong relationships to drive ad revenue

Use marketplace insight and feedback from demand partners to identify areas for development, product needs, and revenue growth

Work closely with Product and Engineering team to understand the dynamics and recommend adjustments to Viki’s ad stack

Coordinate with other Ad Ops teams on inventory allocation and experimentation on demand priorities

Help establish processes, documentation, and structure for the development of yield management

Develop the strategy and manage the day-to-day relationship with the entire portfolio of partners, to ensure our revenue growth, and monitor performance daily to ensure proper delivery and troubleshoot or solve issues immediately

Conduct and lead periodical business reviews with the partners to ensure a well-defined performance-to-plan analysis and a solid understanding of where we are on our track to new revenue opportunities and lowered revenue risk

Set weekly, monthly, and quarterly advertising revenue goals, forecast and ensure they are met by making progress in closing deals with partners and clients as well by keeping senior-level management apprised of the progress

Advise senior-level management and ad tech team on business trends to implement ad technologies and develop ad products
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree or equivalent practical experience

8+ years of work experience, preferably in an advertising technology or business

Strong organizational, communication, presentation and relationship management skill

Highly analytical mindset, able to lead through persuasion and use of data/research

Success in deal-making and negotiating partnerships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in advertising sales or partner management

Ability to prioritize partnership opportunities and related tasks in line with strategic business objectives

Possess strong business acumen, has proven experience in owning revenue target and achieving financial goals
At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base salary for this role will be between $78,624 - $125,216. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.
