Overview and Requirements:Paramount Tech is hiring a Broadcast Distribution Manager to work in Satellite Management Center. The SMC supports the Network Distribution of the CBS Network to our Stations, Affiliates and Partners as well as schedules and procures Live Event facilities for our Clients (News, Sports, Entertainment, and Paramount Global). This position will direct and supervise the scheduling and procurement of transmission facilities to service internal CBS clients and external customers. This includes booking facilities for CBS Live Events and Remotes! (satellite space, fiber, uplink trucks, etc.)
The Broadcast Distribution Manager ensures that CBS TV Stations receive equipment, and also provides real time computer control and Level 1 technical support for 209 CBS Affiliates. Additional support is also provided to Paramount+. This position works in a 24x7 Network Operations Center which monitors and maintains the Satellite, Fiber, and terrestrial distribution for the CBS Network, DABL affiliates and Paramount+. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a 365-day -24 x 7 environment, and this includes working all shifts to support 24 x 7 operations.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience with knowledge in the communications industry is required.
Knowledge of RF, satellite and fiber technologies with a comprehensive understanding of video compression formats.
Strong baseline knowledge of Networking, IP streaming and Data delivery.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Prior experience with Affiliate Technical Support, Master Control Operator or as an Earth Station Technician is a plus.
Proficiency with Schedule All, Service Now, Microsoft Office including Visio, Excel and MS Word.
Strong communications skills, oral and written to detail station reports
Must have strong organization skills, be detailed oriented and able to multitask.
Must be able to work any shift to support 24 x7 operations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $115,000.00 - 125,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
