As Manager, Global Security Operations Center supporting the GSOC Team, you will serve and direct all personnel and activities within day to day operations of the Alcon GSOC located in Fort Worth, TX. The Manager will be responsible for managing the overall coordination, reporting, and administration of Alcon’s on-site security and intelligence support. Further and crucially, the Manager acts as an interlocutor between security operations, tactical intelligence, strategic intelligence, and key stakeholders and vendors in support of Global Security goals. The manager is also empowered to make real-time decisions and to escalate issues to Global Security management, as required, to support Alcon’s objectives.
**This position may require supporting rotating shift work, to include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Extended hours are occasionally required.
The manager facilitates communications for the entire program by organizing and arranging internal and customer meetings, delivering reports, program schedules, agendas and meeting minutes, ensuring program deliverables are provided on-time and up to quality standards.
In this role, you will:

Serve as the team lead and day to day point of contact for team members and personnel in the GSOC
- Maintain regular interaction with all Alcon GS team members to exchange current task status, plans, and forecasts
- Manage and coordinate all activities on shift, including managing shift schedule
- Manage personnel and resources to ensure thorough 24/7 global and on-site monitoring and reporting
- Assist and participate in hiring / training / departing of GSOC staff and evaluations of on the job performance
- Supervise staff in generating time-sensitive situation reports and alerts, and performs quality assurance and editing of intelligence products
- Liaise with Alcon staff, contractors and vendors in order to respond to inquiries and provide guidance as required
- Develop and implements pertinent policies and procedures, revises and updates as necessary
- Conduct training, guidance and assistance to the team
- Track key GSOC metrics developed in coordination with Alcon GS Management
- Ensure all SOPs are reviewed and updated regularly
- Be available as point of escalation for guidance, clarification, decisions, and surge support
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

Preferred Experience

In security, intelligence analysis, enterprise risk management or a related field required; demonstrated professional experience in intelligence and security watch operations preferred
- Military/professional equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to manage personnel
- Exposure to critical thinking, risk analysis and incident management
- Intelligence gathering, analysis and alerting experience preferred
- Effective problem solving, time management, and people management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; accurate typing skills
- Coordination of prompt, high-quality responses to demands and intel requests, and providing constructive feedback on analysis and writing.
- Self-motivated, highly flexible and possess strong initiative and be willing to undertake shift-duties
- Functional knowledge of foreign affairs and geographies, as it relates to Alcon’s global footprint
