Job description
Nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational opportunities for in-need youth seeks permanent Manager of Database Operations to oversee the administration of their BlackBaud/RaisersEdge database. This position will provide direct support to the development team and partner with financial officers to ensure gifts are accurately processed.
Responsibilities:
  • Process gifts over $1,000 and ensure the accuracy of entry, recording, and reporting projects.
  • Create, implement, and monitor new protocols for gift processing operations and remain current on emerging best-practices in donor database administration.
  • Monitor database and development team workflow to ensure gift processing policies are followed.
  • In partnership with the Finance Department, reconcile gift accounts and ensure tax receipts comply with audit standards.
  • Leverage database to create data-driven reports analyzing both gift and donor data.
  • Populate data fields to track data deemed relevant to the organization’s needs and initiatives.
  • With the development and finance team, create performance reporting tools to track fundraising progress.
  • Monitor data quality and perform routine maintenance of the database by identifying duplicate and unnecessary records.
  • Train all new staff on Raiser’s Edge and other database software
  • Support vendor relationship management initiatives alongside the COO.

Qualifications:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately analyze data to address scope of received inquires.
  • Thorough attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • General understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Previous experience with Blackbaud software preferred.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work full time, on site in Northern Virginia.
  • +5 years' experience with database management, familiarity with development databases.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Salary: $80,000
