HEVI-Shot Ammunition is seeking a Manufacturing Associate who will work safely and maintain all quality standards while achieving production levels at or above the posted goal; thereby ensuring customers receive quality products when they want them at a competitive price.
Pay Information:
Starting at $18.65 per hour
Shift Information:
Monday – Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am, overtime when needed

Training will be held Mon-Thursday 5am-3:30pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Safety - Follow all rules and procedures; keep area neat and orderly; report all existing or potential safety hazards/issues to leadership immediately.

Environmental/hazardous waste - Understand and follow all procedures.
-
Quality - Understand all product quality requirements and procedures, and ensure they are met. Notify leadership of excessive defective levels. Understand how defects can impact final customers including Law Enforcement and Military.

Production/Delivery - Achieve or exceed the posted production goals to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers.

Teamwork - Be an effective team member.
-
Responsible for operating ammunition loading/packaging machines, producing a quality product, and ensuring that all production deadlines are met.

Communicate all issues with the machinery or quality to your supervisor immediately.

Maintain a neat and organized work area.
-
Forklift operation – certification training provided.
Requirements:
-
Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED; able to pass a background check and pre-employment physical & drug screen.
-
Machinery background working as a machinery operator, running presses, or loading packaging machinery is helpful.

Must be able to read and write in English to maintain required logs.
-
Must be able to learn to use computers and/or precision measuring devices within 30 days.

Attention to detail is a must.
Physical Requirements:
-
Standing and moving for about 90% of the time.
-
Reaching, handling, fingering and manual dexterity to assemble and inspect.
-
Frequent lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
-
Near vision for detecting quality defects and far vision for operations of forklift or other mobile equipment.
-
Must have normal color vision and normal depth perception capability.
-
Must be able to wear safety glasses.
-
Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling on a daily basis.
Working Environment:
-
Manufacturing floor environment is subject to exposure to noise, vibration, summer heat, moving objects and mechanical equipment hazards.

Work is often done with and around others as part of work teams and back-up from co-workers or supervisor is generally available.
