Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the Program Production Engineering team. The focus of this role is to support proposal activities for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Manufacturing Engineering team. This includes assisting with the coordination of all Production Operations proposal activities during the entire life cycle of the proposal. Activities include, but are not limited to, creating the Manufacturing Engineering Statement of Work, supporting the estimation of required effort (labor, tooling, travel) for manufacturing engineering, documenting basis of estimate, and timely submission of estimates. This requires communicating with the contract manager to relay information to the manufacturing team and manufacturing site support personnel, collaborating with multiple disciplines to collect data, build estimates, and submit documents on timely manner, participates in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives and support the creation of a Tangible Item List (TIL). Communication is critical in this role as coordination between multiple facilities across the country is required as well as the ability to work several concurrent proposals to aggressive schedules all while keeping key stakeholders routinely informed.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Process improvement experience
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
SAP application experience
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Demonstrated presentation skills
Ability to build positive relationships with the customer
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Manufacturing background
Desired Skills:
Bachelors or higher degree in an engineering discipline
Cost / Schedule / Budget Responsibility
Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
SAP Experience
Ability to effectively present technical information to non technical people
ITAR Certified
Government Proposal experience
Proposal experience including labor estimates, material estimates and IMS creation
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
