Role: Manufacturing Engineers

Location: Tijuana Mexico

Pay Rate: $35 to 40/hr on W2

Note:

• Disposition of Discrepant Material Reports (DMR's)
• Largely dimensional, but can include process as well including welding, plating, finish, etc

• Material process router updates to feedback data from DMR's to correct processes and eliminate errors
• Troubleshooting DMR's for corrective action
• Determine what steps in the material process router caused the DMR

• Material processes are stamping (hydro form), welding, machining and mechanical metal forming.

Spanish speaking is helpful, but not required.

Details for the Tijuana openings:

• Need up to (4) Manufacturing Engineers for 6 months.
• These workers will be working through dispositions, all the steps necessary to close them out, and to implement sustainable practices to help us avoid similar dispositions in the future.
• Need contractors who are willing to travel to San Diego/Tijuana and work for Eaton aerospace manufacturing facility in Tijuana. These workers can reside on the San Diego side and travel to Tijuana daily or can reside on the Tijuana side. Eaton will reimburse for associated/identified expenses.

Description:

This individual will be responsible for short and long-range new product development, new product introduction and improving cost for existing product lines through sound execution of engineering principles and processes. The position will require design, development, and implementation of metal forming processes, including tool and die design.

The position also coordinates support to and from division and group Advanced Manufacturing beyond the immediate site / other functions. Accountabilities under this individual’s direction are Engineering Production, New Product Development, and Standard Transition of product from other sites. The position requires metal forming and fluid component knowledge, in a new product development and manufacturing environment. This role is more of a traditional Manufacturing Engineer role who will be working through day-to-day manufacturing issues that come up from discrepant material.
