Job Summary

Our Manufacturing Engineer requires knowledge of engineering techniques and injection molding to assess and can develop new approaches to troubleshoot while working closely on processes that qualify/sustain controls and enhances operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researches to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
  • Monitors and improves manufacturing processes to analyze and eliminate defects
  • Establishes safety procedures for individuals working in critical areas
  • Implements technology and tool improvements to impact safety, quality, and cost targets
  • Designs and plans equipment, tooling and process layout
  • Interfaces with internal engineering disciplines (mechanical, machine maintenance, tooling, product, etc.) to ensure coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables
  • Conducts tests and monitors the process performance throughout the production process
  • Troubleshoots problems associated with the manufacturing processes
  • Evaluates process and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Provides technical guidance to engineer staff, engineering, and maintenance technician and others as required.
  • Estimates production costs and expenses
  • Works safely and maintains a safe, organized, and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering fields
  • Lithium ion battery experience preferred
  • 3 - 5+ years experience preferred
  • Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem- solving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
