  • POSITION: Manufacturing Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is considered to be an opportunity for the training and experience needed to be future Director of Operations with oversight of

Pacific Woodtech’s 4-factory system.

  • Ideally this position has a primary office at the Burlington facility. Remote office is possible and up for discussion.
  • Works closely with COO and communicate/coordinate primarily with the functional managers at the 4 factory locations (Burlington, Golden, Wilmington, Red Bluff) to develop and implement plans to transition/integrate information, processes, and systems at each location in a way that works best for the new organization.

Policies in areas of Safety, HR, and Environmental, including Employee Handbooks

Administrative systems that should be consistent

Production Scheduling and Supply Planning support for Supply Chain team o Production data systems and reporting metrics

Annual budgeting and systems/processes for weekly/monthly operations planning

Operations and Maintenance spending and CAPEX planning

  • Coordinates with corporate support functions such as IT, Engineering, and Supply

Chain/Customer Service on items relevant to operations integration and optimization plans.

  • Support COO with: o strategic and tactical planning discussions for optimizing operations between the 4 locations o CAPEX planning and project support for the 4 locations o First Nations relationship strategy and support for Golden Forest Licenses o raw materials procurement strategies and implementation for 3 LP factories o budgeting, forecasting, and planning o Company policy modifications, work system improvements
  • Initially this position doesn’t have direct reports. The plan is this will change over time with experience.
  • Expected to travel routinely to the factories and possibly other locations, up to between one- quarter to one-third of the time.

KEY SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead large organization (100+ employees) in

Manufacturing environment where Safety is a top priority is required

  • Factory Project Management experience
  • Both formal and informal verbal and written communication with government agencies, customers, vendors on key issues will be necessary
  • Intermediate or better understanding of Analytical methods, Statistical Analysis principles, and IT systems for analyzing data and information.
  • Advanced computer literacy (Office 365 suite), ERP system, Excel Tools development, Basic

ODBC Query development

  • Ability to interact and collaborate with Executive Leadership and Staff Roles
  • Advanced degree such as Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, MBA,

Industrial Engineering, along with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Salary/Benefits:

  • Range: $120,000 - $150,000 plus
