Tacony Corporation is on the lookout to find their next awesome Manufacturing Technician to join the team in West Chicago. This position works Monday - Friday from 7:00-3:30 and is eligible to earn additional income with the Incentive Bonus. Tacony is excited to announce its search for a Manufacturing Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for producing quality products and parts in accordance with Tacony manufacturing standards. This includes safely and efficiently operating equipment and using hand tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform various assembly tasks within quality standards
• Meet tact time assigned to each assembly station
• Operate various machinery to clean parts after created, apply adhesive, and/or foil parts in specified finish as part of production process
• Focus on quality in all areas of production
• Work efficiently meeting production goals for operational unit and overall plant output
• Perform quality checks throughout shift
• Provide routine maintenance of the equipment as needed
• Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as assigned
• Follow established shipping and receiving processes as assigned
• Operate a pallet jack to move materials throughout facility
• Cross train and learn operations of the production.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Fluency in reading and writing in English is required
• Minimum of 1 year production experience with machine operation preferred
• Must be able to drive a forklift and be capable of becoming licensed to drive a forklift
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment
• Professional demeanor handling changes in an appropriate manner
• Must have the ability to perform high school level math, work in decimals and in metric, fractional and English measurement units
• Must be able to handle sharp cutter safely

Environment & Physical Requirements

• Exposed to a normal manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel or crouch for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
• May be exposed to mechanical or electrical hazards, therefore personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, pull, walk, stretch, reach or lift over head

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.25 per hour
