JOB SUMMARY
The General Mapper is responsible for design drawing preparation necessary to support client projects. This position is part of the design team to ensure the productive use of AutoCAD Civil 3D in preparing complete packages of quality design drawings for clients in the oil & gas industry. Training will be provided throughout the process. The position is for a full-time position with benefits. Once acclimated, the company offers a hybrid schedule of up to 2 days per week can be worked from home. The company offers opportunity for career growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
- Assists other mappers in the development of project design drawings.
- Assists Lead mapper in preparing overall drawings, property plats, road and water body permits, assist on HDD’s and alignment sheet red-lines.
- Assist in Backchecking drawings for correct dimensions, adherence to codes, EnSiteUSA & Client Drafting Standards and specifications as required by clients.
- Assists in the production of Drawing Package Issues, I.F.R., I.F.B., I.F.C. and As-built.
- Assists in printing and plotting requirements for each project.
- Provides feedback for future projects.
- Maintains knowledge of new CADD equipment and programs, which may increase production of the drafting department.
- Import/Export KMZ/KML if directed by Lead mapper
- Import ESRI Shapefile if directed by Lead mapper

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A high school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree is preferred
- Prefer technical school with emphasis on drafting and/or equivalent experience/training such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite – Microsoft Excel & Access highly preferred
- Civil 3D Sheet Manager knowledge.
- State Plane/UTM Coordinate projection, including surface scale factors.
- Must have familiarity with Survey data collection using GPS
- Knowledge of basic plane geometry & trigonometry.

- This position is on-site and located in Houston, Texas. No relocation available at this time.
