Title: CalWORKs Behavioral Health Services Clinical Supervisor
Classification: Exempt (Full-Time)
Reports To: CalWORKs Program Director
Department: CalWORKs Behavioral Health Services Program
This position is being offered as a hybrid telecommuting work schedule. Under the direction of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor will manage the clinical integrity of the program and provide clinical supervision to unlicensed/licensed therapists and case management staff.
Primary Duties:
- Supervise clinical efficiency and fidelity to the model(s) of an evidenced based practice(s) (EBP); tracks client progress in EBP.
- Ensure that clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices.
- Work with the CalWORKs management team to establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure effective implementation and compliance of Mariposa’s contracted services.
- Conduct weekly individual, triadic, and/or group supervision for up to 8 Associates.
- Maintain all paperwork as required by the BBS. Provide clinical supervision in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Provide emergency clinical coverage as scheduled.
- Participate and lead in new associate orientation and trainings.
- Guide associates in the development of their work plans, their assigned duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority; consults with staff on issues relative to clients.
- Identify staff training needs and ensure development and implementation of programs that address needs; participates in delivering training sessions to meet the needs of staff related to clinical/program needs.
- Review clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, etc.) focused on identification of client strengths and impairments. Ensure client documentation is accurate and submitted within the established time frame.
- Monitor and measure client progress against treatment plans and stated goals as it applies to mental health documentation.
- Prepare for County audits of client files and develop a corrective action plan, as necessary.
- Monitor the flow of cases on supervisees’ caseloads to ensure that a balanced approach to intakes and discharges occur.
- Form a highly effective clinical team to accomplish the program’s short- and long-term goals.
- Attend, participate, lead and/or facilitate routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the program or Agency.
- Interface with related community agencies, attend meetings as scheduled and/or needed.
- May provide individual and family therapy and/or carry a limited caseload
- Assist and perform all other duties as required by the CalWORKs Program Director and/or CalWORKs Program Administrator.
Job Requirements:
- Active licensure as a LCSW or LMFT for a minimum of two years in good standing.
- Completed the needed courses to be a clinical supervisor that meets BBS standards.
- Maintain current licensing & insurance as required by designated licensing Board.
- Ability and familiarity in assessing crisis situations, provide intervention and referral.
- Demonstrated effective leadership and management skills; experienced in effectively leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to relate well to people and demonstrate cultural competency.
- Demonstrate good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records system.
- Flexibility to adapt to different work sites and varied hours.
- Ability to supervise off site personnel and maintain a team spirit.
- Ability to network with other persons/agencies as needed.
- Minimum 2 years sobriety if applicable.
- Clearance with background check including Live Scan.
Job Type: Full-time
