The MCS will assist the Director of Development in promoting Thrive Alabama as a leading healthcare organization and furthering the mission of Thrive Alabama through community outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities

Write and edit content for print, electronic, and social media to communicate information to donors, volunteers, supporters, and the public.

Plan and manage agency events under the supervision of DDM.

Create and support the creation of digital video and photography for both internal and external purposes.

Create content for online and social media use that is consistent with current branding.

Generate news releases, coordinate with media vendors, and build and expand media contacts.

Assist DDM to produce regular editions of Thrive Alabama internal and external newsletters.

Train, manage, and mentor community relations volunteers.

Support the creation and maintenance of agency websites.

Create email marketing campaign to communicate with donors and supporters

Maintain mail and correspondence, filing system, and fundraising software.

Work across departments to identify ways to use messaging to increase and retain support.

Track, monitor, and evaluate PR strategies and media impressions.

Monitor and measure effectiveness of digital/social media efforts/presence using various analytical tools and platforms.

Maintain and monitor an inventory of agency marketing material to include literary material and promotional goods.

Assist in the cultivation of relationships with current and potential donors.

Serve as primary contact for agency and community-sponsored events.

Attend all Development Committee and Special Events Committee Meetings.

Attend various community events with Development team to represent Thrive.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Ability to organize, present, and offer education and training programs.

· Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships with healthcare personnel and the public.

· Ability to travel throughout the north Alabama service area.

· Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office, social media apps, and computer skills.

· Knowledge of Google My Business, Adwords, and Display Networks.

· Strong writing skills.

· Photography experience helpful.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,130.00 - $54,870.00 per year
