JOB TITLE:
Marketing, Membership and Events Specialist

DEPARTMENT: NYSCRC

PROGRAM: New York State Caregiving and Respite Coalition (NYSCRC)

SUPERVISOR: NYSCRC Assistant Director, Sharon Cackett

STATUS: Full-time 37.5 hours

SUMMARY

The NYS Caregiving and Respite Coalition is a statewide Program that seeks to develop a sustainable system of respite care across the state. NYSCRC is a growing grant initiative, and this position will be working on several new initiatives and responsible for the marketing of several new statewide initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for updating content and management of NYSCRC website to meet traffic targets.
  • Responsible for the development and distribution of the NYSCRC monthly newsletter and increasing subscriptions and open rates
  • Responsible for all social media communications and increasing reach.
  • Responsible for the development of all print materials
  • Responsible for the development, roll out, and ongoing of expansion of Coalition membership through various campaigns
  • In conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director support all activities related to NYSCRC community events, including one statewide conference per year.
  • Support marketing and growth of NYSCRC initiatives (AmeriCorps, Lifespan Respite, Exhale, Geriatric Education Center)
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication or related field required

EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience working in the human services field preferred

GEOGRAPHICAL AREA: Must live near Rochester or Utica, NY

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • A portion of the work is performed at a desk or at a personal computer station.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills required.
  • Computer skills (MS Office). Database and Excel experience required. Must learn Gnosis software for communications.
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural situations.
  • Ability to work independently required.
