• Experience: A minimum of three to five years, familiarity in the supply, process and distribution phases of materials management in a hospital.
• Education: College degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize. Leadership ability. In-depth knowledge in areas such as reduction of inventory, unification of supply, process and distribution functions.
• Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: None

Plans, directs, controls and supervises the functions related to the procurement, storage, reprocessing and distribution of all supplies and equipment, and other services included in the Materials Management department’s responsibility within Astria Sunnyside Hospital.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in an office setting and is considered sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires good manual and finger dexterity to operate computers, phones, and handle documents. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
