Title: Mechanic Helper
Employment Type: Temporary/Seasonal
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade Level: Hourly
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Reports To: Rides Management
Schedule: Must be able to work five days including weekends and holidays
Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer
Position Summary
Mechanic helper assist in the maintenance and operation of rides to ensure that our guests enjoy a safe and fun experience.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the routine and preventive inspection and maintenance of rides which could include basic automotive repair and electrical
Cleaning maintenance shops, including but not limited to stations, equipment, and tools
Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance work performed
Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts, hardware, and tools
Performing grounds maintenance, including mowing grass, caring for landscape, painting and line striping – utilizing paint machine
Assisting in emergency situations
Completing other related assignments and helping others on the team as required

Qualification Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 years or older
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions
Ability to work independently without close supervision
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Dependability and reliability
Previous customer service experience preferred
Training or experience in the automotive and or electrical field preferred
Knowledgeable in electro-mechanical systems
High school graduate or equivalent education
Must be able to do basic maintenance work which could include basic automotive repair and electrical
Experience using standard tools of the trade including electric test meters.
Excellent communication skills
