Requirements:
- You must enlist in the United States Army to obtain this position.
- You must be between the ages of 17-34.
- You must have a GED or High School Diploma.
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder.
- Meet Army Height and weight standards.
Overview
- Maintain wheeled vehicles, their associated trailers, and material handling equipment systems
- Inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacement, adjusting, and testing of wheeled vehicles and material handling equipment systems, subsystems, and components
- Service automotive electrical systems including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems
- Perform wheeled vehicle recovery operations
- Interest in auto mechanics and the industrial arts
- Enjoy physical work
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems
- Interest in automotive engines and how they work
