We’re looking for a full-time, staff Process Engineer to join our Day & Zimmermann teams located in either Greenville, SC, Glen Allen, VA, Lexington, KY, Huntsville, AL, Virginia Beach, VA, Chantilly, VA, or Philadelphia, PA | Hybrid: in the office three days a week.

As the Sr. Mechanical Engineer, here’s the work you’ll do:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides technical expertise in both roles of Process and Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities will include:
- Development of Scopes of Work, Equipment Specifications & Data Sheets, Equipment List, Vendor coordination and technical bid evaluations from front –end engineering phase to detailed design phase and construction support.
- Technical guidance for the pertinent portions of the assigned projects.
- Develops and monitors project scopes for applicable discipline. Identifies changes in scope and their impact, as they occur.
- Coordination of design efforts with other disciplines and client personnel.
- Monitors and ensures design work and documents are correct, consistent with applicable codes, logically presented and constructible.
- When responsible for work, stamp required project documents as a PE.
- Development of equipment specifications for various equipment and equipment skids
- Worked closely with vendors to determine appropriate equipment for projects
- Ability to perform equipment calculations
- Experienced in the development of the equipment costs for Capital Cost Estimates
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of applications, and the ability to quickly learn and use other software packages; Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; advanced degree a plus
- 12+ years’ experience with 6+ years’ experience in EPCm industry or with an operating company directly related to the chemical process industry including but not limited to Munitions, Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Intermediates, or Fibers Industries, etc
- Professional Engineer registration (preferred), with ability to obtain PE registration in other states via exam or comity
- Great attitude and team player
- Successful completion of background screening process
- US Citizenship
