Empire Staffing Network is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the direct hire role of Electro-Mechanical Technician for our client based out of Bridgeview, IL.

Electro-Mechanical Technician Responsibilities :

Work from maintenance work orders, prints, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, codes, charts, tables, manuals and
instructions:
1. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical components.
2. Work from maintenance work orders as assigned to plan equipment repair and modification needs.
3. Diagnose nature of problem, perform a variety of electrical test procedures, disassemble equipment and replace
defective parts, make connections, reassemble and test.
4. Tear down equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts and components.
5. Set short term priorities in responding to plant breakdowns and emergency situations and work on off shifts as directed.
6. Pull parts as required from stock and document part needs, notify purchasing clerk or supervisor when to reorder parts.
7. Install and hook-up manufacturing equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements, and balance
circuits for proper power distribution.
8. Perform preventive maintenance procedures as assigned.
9. Coordinate repair activities with other maintenance supervisor and/or foreman as necessary.
10. Modify existing PLC programs to meet changes in production equipment design and operations and prepare necessary
documentation.
11. Notify supervisor of unusual problems or delays.
12. Document print/procedure changes as required.
13. Use a variety of electrical test instruments, personal computer, hand power tools, grinders, forklift truck, man lift,
hoists and hand tools.
14. Perform daily inspections of all equipment plant wide to identify possible equipment problems.
15. Mandatory attendance during annual Press PM’s
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Electro-Mechanical Technician Qualifications:
 Qualified candidates should have an associate’s degree in the field of Electro-Mechanical equipment repair (or
equivalent)
 3 years related experience working in a challenging production environment.
 Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Printing industry experience a plus.
 The ideal candidate would also be experienced in high-speed offset web printing.
