Job description

We are currently seeking dynamic, detail oriented, multi task individual who excels at customer service to join our team. This is a high paced position. Position will work West Coast time from 9am – 6pm. Commute must be within 30 min. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls through call platform
  • Respond to voicemails and resolve
  • Run Medical Benefits while on phone with patient
  • Must be able to explain benefits to patient while on phone, email, or SMS
  • Update EMR with new patient information (Information will come from patient, doctor, or therapist)
  • Fax, File, Organize to keep operations running smoothly
  • Ability to understand how information impacts all systems (CRM & EMR)
  • Ability to understand how information impacts departments (Patient Intake/scheduling/billing), patients, and therapists (information must be understood, analyzed, and provides to all parties “real-time”)
  • Conversations with patients, doctors offices, other medical offices, insurance representatives
  • Co-working with the back-office billing
  • Must understand systems (OfficeAlly experience preferred)
  • Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-pace environment (smart and efficient)
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal staff, patients, physicians and representatives of outside agencies
  • Must understand organization to function efficiently
  • Understand position will evolve over time with complexity

Experience:

  • Must have experience in verifying insurance, knowledgeable in insurance benefits, deductible, co-insurance, and co-pays (we will test during screening for ability to run live and explain)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, highly preferred
  • Must possess a minimum computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows or a comparable system (specifically including keyboarding and mouse skills)
  • Must additionally possess a working knowledge of basic word processing. E-mail browsers and on-line internet access
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare, ambulatory or outpatient setting or physician’s office, preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills for interacting with patients, payors, physicians and other CSHS customers
  • Experience demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks frequently with short timelines, to prioritize and organize work and to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal staff, patients, physicians and representatives of outside agencies
  • Demonstrates ability to work well as a team player and independently
  • English language proficiency
