Innovative Lab Solutions is a boutique medical billing firm with a focus on servicing laboratories. Since our launch in 2013, Innovative Lab Solutions has raised the bar in delivering medical billing and collections expertise.
We’re hiring a Medical Collector to join our team! The position will include reviewing all claims to determine all actions including but not limited to settlements, payments, communications, and documentations are made in accordance with company and legal regulations.
Role Requirements
- Technological savvy with quick ability to learn new systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional phone skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information (adhere to HIPAA)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel with knowledge of pivot tables.
- Meticulously organized with strong attention to detail
- At least 2years experience in collections required
Role Functions & Responsibilities
- Prepare technical reports by collection, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Identify and resolve problems and make time-sensitive decisions independently.
- Collect information related to a patient’s overdue insurance or medical bill and then work with the patient in determining a repayment plan.
- Review claims for eligibility to be reimbursed.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
