Job Title

Medical Director, Full Time

Job Description Summary:

The Medical Director:

• Provides timely and appropriate medical care of inmate patient population in accordance with community and national standards of care.
• Provides overall supervision of clinical staff services.
• Works collaboratively on clinical matters with internal and external medical providers and vendors.
• Evaluates the healthcare needs of the inmate population, review and approve clinical policies, protocols current medical programs, and emergency plans as necessary (at least annually).
• Acts as the health care program’s clinical representative with visitors, in discussions, meetings, and audit and accreditation reviews.
• Adheres to, safely enforces, and follows security procedures and regulations for security-related policies and procedures, key control, sharps inventories, and controlled substances.

· No on-call duties are required.

· No travel required.

Requirements:

· Education: Medical Degree

• Must possess a current Massachusetts license.
• Current DEA registration must be in good standing.
• Must be Board Certified/eligible or qualified by state laws and regulations to practice medicine.
• Experience in primary care specialty in corrections or managed care delivery preferred.
• Hold current CPR certification.

Schedule:

· Full Time

· Day shift, Monday-Friday, flexible hours

Salary Range

$160,000-$180,000 a year
