Southeast Lung Associates is currently seeking a Medical Scheduler/ Call Center to join our growing, progressive practice in Savannah, GA. A large, well-established pulmonary and critical care medicine practice, Southeast Lung Associates and its 15 physicians and 11 physician extenders offer the most advanced medical care and services for patients throughout southeast and coastal Georgia.

The Medical Scheduler works in the call center and is accountable for maintaining an accurate schedule for the physicians and extenders. The Scheduler's primary role is creating and maintaining patients/meetings schedule for the physicians and extenders. The Scheduler serves as the first impression for patients who inquire to schedule consultations and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of scheduling, setting expectations on how the process will work, and detailing their insurance coverage, as well as answering questions and addressing concerns.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Schedules patient appointments and maintains an accurate schedule
• Reviews and Accesses Future schedules to monitor patient volumes and accuracy of scheduling
• Coordinates and maintains ongoing appointments and assignments for the physicians and extenders
• Responds to incoming patient inquiries, and efficiently schedules appointments, with mandated documentation and follow up activities
• Multi-tasks answering phones while simultaneously entering data into system
• Performs multifaceted general clerical support functions within an office setting as well as maintaining standards for responsible conduct safeguarding confidential information
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience and qualifications:

• One to two years scheduling experience. Scheduling for a medical practice preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling process.
• Self-disciplined and able to multitask when needed as well as resolve challenges and embrace opportunities.
• Excellent office and computer skills and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of common medical terminology preferred.
• Aptitude for attention to detail
• Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
• Able to operate calmly and efficiently in a busy and highly dynamic environment while projecting professionalism

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
